The Veil

Dear people, the wool's being pulled over our eyes.
Yes, we are being blinded so convincingly that we lap up the lies and let our hearts be guided and follow the powers-that-be into their dens of falsehood.
We hear that in France, there has been a ban on the veil - well in effect that is what has occurred, Muslim women wearing a full face veil (which is their right in Islam) will be considered criminals, and will shortly have to pay fines if they wear these pieces of cloth in public. This may lead to imprisonment, and no doubt will create some kind of backlash from French Muslims, further cementing their 'extremist' position in the eyes of the rest of France.
Now there's still a chance that this will not occur, see here, but why does something like this occur? What does it mean? What effects might something like this produce?
These MPs, living in a country supposedly built on freedom and equality, have effectively forbidden free women from their right to wear what they please singling the wearing of the burqa as somehow 'not French'. Not only that, but they have stigmatised the women themselves, without paying heed to their opinions, how they feel about wearing the hijab, or what it means to them - all of this seems to be of no import to the fanatics, who are hell-bent on their designs to inhibit any religious freedom in their struggle to maintain secularism in a country where Islam is on the rise as the only recourse in an otherwise dismal existence. All you existentialists please raise your hands - oh, what's the point anyway!
SO from their perspective - these bleak cretins who live for desire and have no concept of morality, seek to destroy the evidence of there being something other, of there being a divinely revealed moral code. They seek to undermine this with all the tools at their disposal, but how can they ever undermine Allah?
'Indeed they are planning a plan, and I am planning a plan, so allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them a while'. (Quran 86:15-17)
His words suffice for us dear reader. He is the best protector.
The point we need to be aware of is that once this trend catches on, it will eventually come into effect in the UK as well. It is only a matter of time.
Is there any good in this?
Well, although it may all seem doom and gloom, perhaps this ban will cause us to think about who we really are and what we expect to acheive, or indeed why we continue to live in these lands altogether...
Perhaps the women who wear it as a cultural trend will be unable to stand up to the pressure and only the steadfast will be given the ability to keep wearing it - sort of a 'weed out the weak' system.
or, hope upon hopes, perhaps we will have an Islamic revival, where all those ladies who profess Islam but for one reason or another still do not physically embody the Law, will find reason to proudly stand out as the people of Allah.
How wise is He, and what a benificent Lord!
Oh Allah, do not let us be blinded by falsehood, fill our hearts with light and faith. Veil us from the world but make us among those who see Your Face without any veils.
Ameen, and again ameen, Oh most Merciful of those who show mercy.
Peace and blessings be upon Muhammad the best of creation.
