a restart?

what if the world folded up while you just were'nt expecting it?

wouldn't you just say to yourself, 'well that's not fair...' ?

you probably would, wouldn't you?

it doesn't seem too unreasonable - there you are living your life and all of a sudden it just folds over and where do you find yourself? another dimension? lost and far from home? in a nightmare that there's no escape from? in a dreamy world of ice-cream castles perhaps?

hippy plagiarisms aside, if one seriously considered it, this would seem frightening or improbable, and if it did occur then the shock of just finding oneself in some kind of other existence would most likely make one feel that there was no relation to anything they'd ever experienced. considering that there is no turning back, what do you think you would do?

there's no point asking to be sent back because the world's folded over. that reality no longer exists. you are where you are and that's it. no way to change it. seems unfair, doesn't it?

to make matters worse (depending on your perspective), what if the existence you ended up in was related to how you had lived in the world? that every aspect of this new reality was a magnified extension, on an unimaginably more grandiose, macro level, of every action that you'd ever done - a place were you are rewarded or punished in an exact and totally precise manner for every word, deed and intention.

well, dear friend, if we want to speak plainly, that's exactly what will happen to each and every one of us. we will be taken away from our normal, everyday life into something vast and neverending, an afterlife directly related to how we lived this life. no matter if we want to return to this life and live it over again or not, it will be an impossibility - forbidden to us.

there is no going back.

The Veil

Dear people, the wool's being pulled over our eyes. Yes, we are being blinded so convincingly that we lap up the lies and let our hearts be guided and follow the powers-that-be into their dens of falsehood. We hear that in France, there has been a ban on the veil - well in effect that is what has occurred, Muslim women wearing a full face veil (which is their right in Islam) will be considered criminals, and will shortly have to pay fines if they wear these pieces of cloth in public.
