[Christmas eve-eve-eve poetry]

twinkles sprinkled through - just enough to make it true - an innocence lost once but refound.
as a memory creeps in from what you feel is real. river ocean-bound.
an infinite sky painted with stars, in past places not what they once were.
a deepness reflected in a gazing eye lost in endless beauty. wonderous stare.
tingling fingers an excitement-giving glimpse of eternity,
as an 'i've seen this before' affirmation stresses time's limited complicity.
silver, tracer vapour trail shoots through from it's birth to it's death
fizzling away. faded, leaving only a memory, a fate for us all to share.
and earth, star-dust we come from
and to our mother's bosom we return.
God's mercy encompasses our servitude
rebellion and resistance is a burn.

~~~~~
from gathering clouds fell dark.
no rain, because the hearts didnt seek purity.
coldness, sinful thirst not washed away.
dry tides turned by just fear.
and hope, for that's submission's key.
light, to his Lord a servant prays.
(deep as a puddle)
