gods in your pockets
there's nothing that comes to mind immediately, but something's gotta be released, hm? the life of this world is as a shiny glass, but the trick is to reach beyond it, cos after all it is mere sand, and the delight of just having it rapidly disappears - if it ever existed in the first place.
so many jordanians just want to leave their country, to get anywhere. but they dont question, that if you cant get by where you are, what's the odds of getting by anywhere?
maybe God keeps the 'good life' away from those who are careless in worshipping Him. after all, what do we desrve if we dont perform the basics of our mere purpose for existence. (that's to worship God, alone, and not give our devotion to anything else).
so we see a man, in a mosque, praying to his Lord, then his mobile just goes off, and he lets it ring, or hurriedly ends the call - but rarely does he turn it off. where's the devotion? does he care more about the contact with other people than with his Creator? has his phone become a god?
or money, or pleasure, or family ties. all this coming before, and the purpose forgotten, temporarily. but where is the time? we cannot afford to waste...
so whats behind that glass fragment, but the Illumination of the universe, where everything returns for Reckoning. if we've devoted everyhting to the glass, then we've lost in the end, and the end is not an end, but a forever.
reach beyond.
